Theory Lavin, Stonehenge Brought Using Wood Basket Weaving [video]

Stonehenge was built in the Neolithic era, remains a mystery in the UK. Until now, it is not certain how the ancients to build the ranks of the giant stone. Stonehenge mystery unsolved is what trying to be solved by an engineer who is also a former BBC presenter, in particular how the giant stones were moved from a considerable distance.
Garry Lavin believes that the ancestors of the English build Stonehenge wear woven wicker basket used to roll the giant stones from Wales to the site now. Each stone is estimated to have weighed up to 4 tons. These stones come from the Preseli Mountains in Wales, or about 200 miles from the location of Stonehenge today.
“I always thought that dragged the large stones that are physically impossible due to friction on the surface. The key is the technology they employ at the time,” said Lavin.
Lavin believes that at that time the workers use a cylinder cart to haul large rocks from the beginning. These baskets are made by weaving some minor stakes structure that can easily be moved by 4 or 5 people.
Lavin has tested his theory was in near the site of Stonehenge today and managed to move a stone weighing one ton using wood grill like the one in his theory.
Lavin is currently preparing for a big basket to be able to move a stone weighing five tons. To realize this ambition, Lavin ask for an engineer, an archaeologist of ancient wood, and wood weaver professional. Because now has entered the winter, then the magnitude of this project are estimated to be ready early next summer.
In theory, Lavin believes that the stones at Stonehenge could have been driven by two team of ten people. One team to rest while others worked to encourage the giant basket. [via]
